Role Access
This page shows which areas of Accurail are available in the software when a user is assigned a role.
Every role includes base user access. The role sections below only show the additional access that is added on top.
If a user has more than one role, they will have the functionality from each role.
Base User
General staff access - dashboard, library, map, and map submissions. No Safe Work Pack workflow actions on their own.

Assurance
Browse packs, users, and teams for assurance oversight. Does not perform assurance checks - that requires the Assurance Checker role.
Includes Base User Access, plus:

Assurance Checker
Can approve or reject packs at pre-verification or post-authorisation assurance stages when the feature is enabled by your company.
Same as Base User Access.
Controller of Site Safety (COSS)
Can endorse packs when required, then start shifts and complete on-site pack workflows via the mobile app.
Same as Base User Access.
Person in Charge (PIC)
Verifies or rejects packs and completes on-site pack workflows via the mobile app.
Includes Base User Access, plus:

- View > Requests
Person in Charge of Possession (PICOP)
Assigned to packs for PICOP details — can view assigned packs and team information, but cannot verify, endorse, or authorise packs.

Planner
Creates, drafts, and issues Safe Work Packs (including sending to PIC, or to assurance when enabled). See Creating a Pack.

Resourcer
Manages users and teams, and can view team packs.

Responsible Manager (RM)
Authorises or rejects packs, requests SWPs, manages authority numbers, and runs compliance reporting (including 10% checks).

Admin
Manages users and teams, accesses reports, can archive packs, and configure map permissions.
