Responsible Managers
Authorising Safe Work Packs
As a Responsible Manager, you must authorise Safe Work Packs at least a shift in advance in accordance with section 4.2.5 of the 019 standard. This section covers both the requirements and process for authorisation.
Overview
Safe Work Pack authorisation is a critical safety function that ensures:
- All risks have been properly identified and controlled
- The Person in Charge has verified the pack
- The work can be carried out safely
- Compliance with the 019 standard is maintained
Verification Required
You cannot authorise any Safe Work Pack until it has been verified by the Person in Charge. Accurail's system enforces this requirement automatically.
